Stacey Daub's Reflections
Stacey Daub's Reflections
I joined Quinte Health Care as President and CEO in January 2021 and, as you can imagine, it has been an unusual time to join an organization as a new leader. Despite the challenges of joining QHC in the midst of a global pandemic, my onboarding at this time of the organization’s history has provided me with many insights into the resiliency and strengths of the organization and the people who come to work every day to serve their patients and community. The pandemic has also magnified some new, and long standing, challenges and opportunities facing QHC. I believe it is my role to build on
#4MyTeam - Dr. Adam Zoccoli
“I wanted to express my gratitude to the wonderful staff working the morning of Sunday, July 4 at Trenton Memorial Hospital. I went to emergency before 7am because I woke up with a badly swollen right eye. I'm normally a fairly anxious person but was even more apprehensive given that we are in a pandemic, it was my first time going to emergency, my first time at TMH, and I didn't have my health card with me. Everyone was very friendly and kind. I am particularly appreciative of the resident physician Dr. Z who attended to me -- wish I knew his name but I didn't have my glasses
#4MyTeam - PECMH Emergency Team
“We live in Wellington and on August 7th I had a visit to Picton Memorial Emergency for a foot injury. As mentioned to the staff there upon leaving, I had never had a better experience at any Hospital Emergency facility in my more than 60 years at home or abroad. Dr. Stephanie Dennis, Nurse Anita, Nurse Denise and the entire staff were empathetic, patient, informative, focused, confident and professional in their approach to me and my issue from entry to exit. Emergency care can raise the anxiety level for many folk, myself included, but I soon determined that I was in very good hands.
#4MyTeam - NHH Emergency Department
“I brought my son into the North Hastings Hospital emergency department as he was stung by many wasps after disturbing their nest. My son was very uncomfortable and scared from being stung but was also anxious about being at the hospital. Every single person that we spoke to from the security guard, the person that checked us in, the nurses and the doctor were extremely kind and empathetic. We received excellent care from a wonderful team, thank you.” – a grateful family member Some of the excellent members of the North Hastings Hospital team. #ImagineItsYou
Tirzah’s story highlights importance of provincial investment
On August 10, 2021, Ministers Dr. Merrilee Fullerton and Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith visited the Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre (CTC) at QHC Belleville General Hospital to announce the government’s latest investment in support of children and youth with special needs across Ontario.   QHC President and CEO Stacey Daub took the opportunity to share the story of one of the hundreds of children receiving services by the dedicated and hardworking team at the Quinte CTC.  A special thanks to the adorable Tirzah and her amazing mom Mary for attending and allowing us the privilege of
