Grateful for supportive Emergency visit at BGH

“I came in to BGH with excruciating abdominal pain. The emergency room was busy as well as the hallway waiting rooms. The triage nurse was genuinely sympathetic and compassionate, as was the registration clerk. The lab tech that came to take me for blood work was also very caring even to the point of apologizing for the bumps as she pushed the wheelchair. I could hear the "busy" in footsteps but what I couldn't hear was frustration, exasperation, or negative tone. I listened to the nurses on shift support each other and offer assistance and I had two other nurses check on me before nurse Dorothy and Dr. Miron delivered much needed pain relief. Thank you everyone, even if I can't remember names before the pain relief.” – a grateful patient
