To assist in Quinte Health Care’s mission to provide exceptional care, we are changing the location of two of our inpatient units in order to create additional beds for patient care.
On Wednesday, October 7th, the Quinte 4 Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit and the Quinte 6 Surgical Inpatient Unit will swap floors. This means that all patients, equipment and staff will be relocated from Quinte 4 to Quinte 6, and from Quinte 6 to Quinte 4.
The move will begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7th. We have a team of staff planning the move in detail to ensure that patients and their belongings are transported to their new floor/room with ease.
Patients are asked to have a family member pick up any personal belongings that are not essential to their stay in advance, including valuables like jewellery, watches and money. We ask that anyone wishing to visit a patient on Quinte 4 or Quinte 6 on October 7th not visit until the evening once patients are settled in their new location.
If you have a family member on one of these units and you have questions or concerns, please contact the unit in advance of October 7th.
