Treated with respect and compassion in TMH Emergency Dept.

“I called an ambulance around 9pm last night as I wasn't feeling good, and I was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital. From the ambulance attendants, to the triage nurse, to the nurses, doctor and the X-ray technician, everyone was so compassionate, caring and attentive. During this very scary time for me, while you are all dealing with so many things under such extraordinary times and being short staffed, I felt safe, I felt cared for, and my condition was dealt with seriously (sometimes people with mental health issues are dismissed). My fears were alleviated fairly quickly.

I want to thank all of you for the excellent care you gave me last night. As you know, you can overhear a lot even though you try not to. That being said, all patients within my ear shot were treated with the utmost respect, care and compassion.

Excellent job. Well done. Please ensure these precious people receive this message. We need to speak up and speak out more for all of you. For everything you do, thank you from the bottom of my heart.” – Sandra
