Mental Health Inpatient Program

The Mental Health Inpatient Program is located at Belleville General Hospital. 

Most patients begin their treatment in the Intensive Treatment Area (ITA).  ITA provides a secured environment to support intensive assessment and care for persons requiring continuous observation.

The remaining beds are provided within an open unit. Within a recovery framework, the interprofessional team provides mental health care to clients experiencing acute symptoms of a psychiatric/ mental health disorder.

All admissions to the inpatient program must be approved by the psychiatrist on call or a member of the psychiatric staff.
