If a bomb threat is present or a suspicious or unexpected letter or parcel is identified, immediate action is taken to maintain safety; assess the threat; isolate the affected area and ensure appropriate local authorities are involved to eliminate any potential danger.
A suspicious package could include:
- Fake return address
- Misspelled words
- Rigid or bulky
- Crystallization on wrapping
- No return address
- Strange odour
