Code Black

The purpose of a Code Black is to identify an actual bomb threat or a suspicious/unexpected letter or parcel. If a bomb threat is present or a suspicious or unexpected letter or parcel is identified, immediate action is taken to maintain safety; assess the threat; isolate the affected area and ensure appropriate local authorities are involved to eliminate any potential danger.

A suspicious package could include:

• Fake return address
• Misspelled words
• Rigid or bulky
• Crystallization on wrapping
• No return address
• Strange odour
