QHC North Hastings Hospital Donor Wall reflects generosity and commitment

Photo of Donor Wall at QHC NHHIn the last 10 years, more than $1.6 million in generous donations from the community have helped upgrade and purchase new equipment for Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital.  Since its dedication in 2000, the Donor Wall at NHH has almost doubled in size.  Located in the foyer of the hospital, the Donor Wall recognizes donations of a minimum of $1000 from individuals, businesses, municipalities and organizations which support the purchase of equipment and training needed to sustain and advance care at North Hastings Hospital.

More than 500 plaques currently surround a large wooden relief carving by artist Ron Caya. The carving depicts the history of North Hastings, specifically the three pillars of economic development, Mining, Forestry and Tourism. The Donor Wall is truly the “Giving Wall”, reflecting the generosity and commitment of local residents, businesses and visitors who understand and perhaps have experienced the need to support a local, rural hospital and the people it serves. Over the years there has been a growing trend towards making donations in memory of a person(s), whose life may have been touched by the care and support they and their families have received at QHC North Hastings Hospital.

Plaques may be purchased for the Donor Wall starting at $1000. For more information on purchasing a plaque, please contact QHC NHH Fund Development Committee: 613-332-2825 ext. 6220.
