Family recognizes ICU staff at Belleville General Hospital with a $10,000 donation for showing “care and compassion”

In honour of the outstanding care by the ICU Medical Team, Nurses, Respiratory Technologists and Physiotherapists, the Scaletta Family nominated several Hospital Heroes and made a generous $10,000 donation designated for the Intensive Care Unit at BGH in honour of the late Michael Scaletta. "Michael was a patient for ten weeks at BGH and was the recipient of amazing care," said Joseph Scaletta, brother of the late Michael Scaletta. "We want the staff members involved with his care to know how much Michael and our family appreciated their care and compassion" he added.

The Hospital Hero’s program is an initiative of the Belleville General Hospital Foundation. It began in June 2014 and so far there have been 639 Hero nominations raising a total of $56,799 for priority medical equipment at QHC BGH.
