Update for visitors to Sills 4 at BGH

As a result of recent transmission of MRSA on Sills 4 - Complex Continuing Care - at QHC Belleville General Hospital, an outbreak has been declared. QHC staff are working diligently to contain and control this outbreak.

Your support during this time is appreciated. Additional appropriate infection control measures have been put in place.

Security is in place to help enforce visitation policy. A limit of two visitors per patient will be adhered to. As always, visitors who are sick should not visit patients, visitors should only visit one patient per visit, and visitors should clean their hand frequently.

Security will also be providing handouts to visitors and staff as well as promote hand hygiene. Visitors are encouraged, as always, to clean their hands frequently with the gel provided.
