Quinte Health Care (QHC) is a wonderful place for a physician to work. We have four acute care hospitals, located in distinct communities with lifestyles second-to-none in Ontario.There is a wide range of experiences that a caregiver can tap into at QHC - from a more isolated, rural setting (Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, in Bancroft), to a dynamic urban setting (Quinte Health Care Belleville General Hospital and Quinte Health Care Trenton Memorial Hospital) and a smaller community setting (Quinte Healthcare Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, in Picton).
There's a tremendous variety in terms of the medicine here, with a great deal of specialist support. For example, family doctors can do obstetrics, have a very independent obstetrical practice, but know that in-house backup is always available. For those doing Emergency Medicine, there is excellent internal medicine and surgical back-up.
