Paediatrics - Full Time or Locum

Quinte Health Care (QHC) is a multi-site hospital that provides primary and secondary services to a diverse catchment area of approximately 150,000 people in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and the southeast portion of Northumberland County. The Corporate District covers 7,000 square kilometres and is made up of both urban and rural areas.  There are currently 255 inpatient beds at QHC.

Opportunities

QHC Belleville General is looking for an additional Paediatrician  or locum Pediatrician to join our current department of four members. Belleville General's Maternal Child Floor was redeveloped in 2000. The floor has 10 paediatric beds, an eight bed intermediate care nursery (special care nursery) for high risk newborns and a special observation room fro paediatric patients, an operating room for caesarian sections, and a 17 bed obstetrical unit. 

In February 2010, the Children's Treatment Centre (1 of 18 in the province) was relocated to Quinte Health Care's newly built, state of the art, Charlotte Sills Wing. This centre provides multidisciplinary assessment and rehabilitation to children from birth to nineteen years of age who experience physical, neurological and developmental difficulties. 

Belleville General also houses a provincially funded multi-disciplinary Diabetic Clinic that provides support to children and their families.
