QHC Quick Facts
- Quinte Health Care (QHC) includes four hospitals: one in Bancroft, Belleville, Picton and Trenton. QHC provides 255 inpatient beds for acute medicine, critical care, obstetrics, paediatrics, mental health, rehabilitation, and complex continuing care.
- QHC has four active emergency departments; surgical operating rooms at three hospitals; a rehabilitation day hospital; a children's treatment centre and a full range of ambulatory care clinics and diagnostic services. We employ over 1700 staff and 280 medical staff members have privileges.
- We provide primary and secondary care to people in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and the southeast portion of Northumberland County, an area of 7,000 square kilometers, which is made up of both urban and rural communities.
- QHC is committed to providing the 160,000 residents in our community with quality health care as close to home as possible.
QHC Belleville General Hospital: 192 inpatient beds: an emergency department, internal medicine, critical care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, ENT, urology, general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, inpatient mental health, complex continuing care, oncology, diabetes education, diagnostic imaging (ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine), pathology, pharmacy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, speech and language, children's treatment centre, crisis intervention and outpatient mental health clinics and laboratory medicine.
QHC Trenton Memorial Hospital: 33 inpatient beds and is the centre for ambulatory services for Quinte Health Care. Services include: inpatient beds for medical and nursing home ready patients, an emergency department, outpatient surgery, physiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, laboratory, and outpatient clinics including the Ontario Breast Screening Program and the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Response Program.
QHC Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital: 19 inpatient beds, provides primary care to the residents of the community including emergency services, inpatient medicine, obstetrics (low-risk), endoscopies, outpatient clinics (including Crisis Intervention; General Surgery; Urology, Dialysis; ENT; Minor Procedures Clinic), physiotherapy, pharmacy and diagnostic services.
QHC North Hastings Hospital:Rural acute care hospital with six inpatient medical beds, an emergency department, diagnostic services, pharmacy, physiotherapy and outreach clinics specializing in diabetes education, mental health, obstetrics/gynaecology and urology.
