|Province announces $2.8 million in one-time funding for QHC|
October 26, 2018
Member of Provincial Parliament for the Bay of Quinte riding, the Honourable Todd Smith, visited Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital this morning to announce Quinte Health Care (QHC) will receive $2.8 million to help address capacity issues as we head into the flu season. This is QHC’s portion of the $90 million investment announced by the provincial government on October 3.
“This investment sends a clear message to our patients, to our communities and to all of our dedicated care providers working each and every day to meet the growing demands in healthcare,” explained Mary Clare Egberts, President and CEO. “This says that the province recognizes the pressures facing hospitals across Ontario, including QHC hospitals, and the importance of supporting safe, quality care.”
